Meningkatkan Keterampilan Bahasa Anak Usia Dini Melalui Metode Bercerita

Abstract

The problem with this article is that children's speaking skills have not developed as expected. An attempt was made to overcome this problem with research that aims to determine the effect of storytelling on children's speaking skills. The research method is qualitative while the type is descriptive. The test subjects were all children from Harapan Makmur Kindergarten, a total of 20 children. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and documentation, followed by percentage analysis techniques. The results of the study before using the story method were the ability to mention vocabulary in the categories BSB 5%, BSH 5%, MB 10%, BB 80%, the ability to answer questions in the categories BSB 5%, BSH 5% , MB 15%, BB 75%, answer questions 10% BSB category, 10% BSH, 5% MB, 75% BB and multiplication of 5% BSB, 10% BSH, 10% MB, 75% BB category. In addition, after using the story method it is possible to mention vocabulary in the categories BSB 20%, BSH 45%, MB 25%, BB 10%, the ability to ask questions in the categories BSB 15%, BSH 40%, MB asking 30%, BB 15%, aspects of the category answer questions BSB 15%, BSH 45%, MB 35%, BB 10% and narrative categories BSB 20%, BSH 40%, MB 30%, BB 10%. In general, after using the story method, children's speaking ability improved in all fields: the average value of BOD was 17.5%, BSH 42.5%, MB 28.75%, although some were still lagging behind, namely class BB 11.25 %.
