The program began with a survey using the Health Belief Model (HBM) to assess students' knowledge of hypertension and their eating habits. The results indicated that many students frequently consumed fast food, high-sodium foods, and had an inadequate intake of fruits and vegetables. Based on these findings, the program was implemented through an online platform, primarily Instagram, to deliver engaging educational content, including infographics, reels, and informative posters. The content, focusing on real-life hypertension cases, prevention tips, and healthy recipes, aimed to capture students' attention and encourage discussion. The program received positive feedback, with students expressing interest in applying the information to their daily routines. Despite challenges such as time constraints, the program successfully reached a large number of students, increasing awareness of hypertension and promoting healthier eating practices. This program demonstrates the effectiveness of using social media for health education and offers valuable insights for future health campaigns in university settings
2025-01-06T18:51:21+07:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://journal.umpalopo.ac.id/index.php/epic/article/view/326Pendampingan Melalui Penanaman Karakter Pada Siswa Al Madinah Jonggol Jawa Barat2025-01-09T13:41:07+07:00Dina Martha Fitrimarthadina@fkip.unila.ac.id
This character-building mentoring program was implemented at Al Madinah School, Jonggol, West Java, with the aim of helping students develop positive character values, such as responsibility, discipline, honesty, cooperation, and empathy. This topic was chosen because there is still stigma and a lack of understanding among parents regarding sexual education, which can be dangerous for children. The methods used are preparation, implementation and evaluation. This service activity for parents was carried out in the form of direct outreach at the Ar-Rahimah Kindergarten, Jambi City, with the outreach aimed at increasing awareness of parents and educators about the importance of appropriate sexual education. The results of this activity show that parents show a high interest in being involved in this education and are committed to continuing the discussion at home. In addition, this socialization succeeded in creating more open communication between parents and children regarding this sensitive topic. In conclusion, appropriate sexual education and good communication between parents and children can help prevent sexual violence and support healthy child development, as well as create a safe environment for children to understand and respect themselves.
2025-01-10T12:17:31+07:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://journal.umpalopo.ac.id/index.php/epic/article/view/342Sosialisasi Sport Massage Dan Penggunaan Kinesio Taping Pada Masyarakat Di Kota Samarinda2025-01-10T15:03:08+07:00fadilah Nurdinfadilahnurdin4@gmail.comrachmat hidayatrachmathidayat@umpalopo.ac.idAndi Alif Tunruandialif3333@gmail.com
The goal of this community service activity is to foster a high level of interest among the people in Samarinda City, which serves as one of the driving factors for improving health and fitness.
